Ingvar, leading to the volcano [Tuesday afternoon]

As the Fandomites fought Krampus' hordes back to where they came from--Ingvar's island--they found themselves with some unexpected allies: Ingvar's very own collection of creepy, creepy dolls. Ingvar was Not Best Pleased with his new friend, Goth!Santa, turning out to be not very nice after all.

They'd be difficult to tell from Krampus' minions, honestly, but if you say some creepy doll on creepy doll action (NOT DIRTY), best to leave it be.

Ingvar's friend were helpful in leading our heroes towards the volcano, at least, once they got past the dive-bombing Christmas tree angels and demonic gingerbread persons/things!

Time to grab our friends, kids, and apologize profusely to the newbies.

Most of whom are dangling over a volcanic pit.

The rest are taking pictures of the people over the pit. Because Fandom.

"Well, finally," Anakin said. "We'd almost figured our way out of here."

This was not at all true.

"We had?" Don't sound so surprised Sea Hawk, you'll ruin Anakin's moment.

Duke had passed the time since the failed escape attempt doing his best to meditate. And failing, because strung up over a volcano with a bunch of idiots by an ancient Christmas monster.

"That the cavalry?" he asked, without bothering to open his eyes. "Because if not they can just fuck right off."

"Oh thank god," Alexis sighed. "Hurry! My hair is frizzing really badly!"

Still looked great, though.

Octavia - ugly Christmas sweater and all- was absolutely covered in cookie crumbs and creepy bear fur and whatever else, by the time they made it to Ingvar and the volcano. But at least it looked less gorey than if the creatures had bled on her the way normal things would have?

Anyway, she was still going. Not a Krampus minion in her path left unskewered or unsliced by one of her blades, not even after things got a little confusing with the addition of new creepy toys that weren't attacking them.

"Right, so." Heather finally put her phone away. "This school is terrible? And you should all be ashamed."

Rey was really beginning to hate toys.

Force pushing them out of her way was a neat trick, though. And quick enough that they might not haunt her nightmares later!

"Duke!"

Did that shout coming from down by the edge of the pit answer his question sufficiently? Because Octavia wasn't really waiting for an answer, regardless. She was already looking up at the ropes instead, trying to understand how the hell they'd get everyone down safely.

That shout was the best damned thing he'd heard in days. His answering "Tavi" was more than half sigh-of-relief.

He opened his eyes, squinting a little in the heat -- and because he absolutely could not actually be seeing what he thought he was seeing.

"What the fuck are you wearing?"

"Master Skywalker," Rey greeted him, pretty casually, already checking out the ropes.

"We're all connected to each other," Anakin said, "and I can't levitate myself, all of them, and undo the knots."

Plus, you know, volcano trauma.

"What?"

Octavia genuinely did not remember about the Christmas sweater before he asked, and she looked down at herself and saw it.

But she shook her head. "I'll explain later." Maybe. "We need to get you down, first."

"I can do at least one of them," Rey said.

That felt a little obvious, which was new.

"That'd be nice," Duke agreed, letting his eyes fall shut again for a moment. "It's really hot up here."

They were probably going to have to put that "let's learn how to roast fish" plan of theirs on hold for a little while, now that he knew how roasting felt.

"Is there anything someone with absolutely no, like, powers can do to help?" Octavia asked ~~butting in like an in-butting thing~~.

She hated this, and missed Indra something fierce.

You know, Octavia had thought finding them and actually seeing him would make things a lot better.

But no, her insides were still twisting. They were just doing so in a slightly different way, now.

"Hold on." Poor choice of words, there, Tavi. "We'll figure something out."

Yeah, that was a very dry laugh from Duke. "Take your time. Not like we're going anywhere."

Unless someone decided to get squirmy again up here. That would probably be bad.

Hey, so long as there weren't any creepy spider babies, Summer was okay!

She'd actually be okay with more creepy spider babies, too, tbh.

And she wished she coudl go in there with blaster blazing under the guise of really missing this, but she's pretty much just been doing something similar (similar! Same pew-pew-shoot-em-up ambush, much different targets and setting, though!) not even a week ago, sooooooooooo.....

It would never not feel good being a part of the calvary, dammit.

"Unless someone has a better way," Rey said ~~not wanting to hog anything~~, "if someone can get the knots holding everyone up, I can get them here, and then there's a lot of people to untie."

And, "Why are so many people tied up?"

You don't want to know, Rey.

"They tried to seduce the creepy goat demon."

If Anakin had to live through that, everyone else needed to be haunted by it too.
