As the Fandomites made their way further into the city, they'd notice the leaks in the walls becoming more frequent and more of the city falling into extreme disrepair. Parts of this area were falling apart even before the civil war. Pauper's Drop is where the poor and desolate of Rapture made their home, and it's where they first felt the stirrings of civil unrest in the city. Splicers were also increasing, in both number and agitation. News of the Fandomite's arrival has spread.
