In Jareth's Castle, Saturday Afternooon

Well... That hadn't gone quite as planned. The right words have been said, and Jareth has simply laughed in the faces of our would-be rescuers. What now? Three challenges? That wasn't in any of the clues! Play fair, Goblin King!

Then again, saying, "It isn't fair" never really seems to do anybody any good in here anyhow, does it? Drat.

Medusalith was going to bundle up Blackagar saying her name like the precious thing it was, keep it deep in her mind where nothing could take it from her except amnesia. If her eyes were a little shiny, well. She would thank any onlookers to pay that no mind. "We can't stay here, Blackagar," she said, her hair gently nudging him toward her. "This isn't home. It's...another kind of room to be locked up in. He tried to keep me from you," she told him. "I couldn't find you, and I was so scared. But I'm here, now, and we have to go. Together."

Resting his forehead against hers, Blackagar sighed. It was still a new experience to actually do, after all.

"No more rooms."

Eyes down, he nodded. She was right, of course. She did have that distressing habit of being right.

Or he just felt it best to go along with her. One of those two.

But, since he doubted he'd have another chance that wouldn't end in the world being destroyed... "I love you," he said, quiet enough that only she could hear it.

If everyone would listen to her, the world would be a much better place. Really.

Oh. Oh. She was just...going to tear up now, because she really hadn't thought she would ever hear that. But, then, "I know. You tell me all the time." She smiled and said, "I love you, as well," and kissed him.

Because they, out of all the Marvel couples out there, somehow managed to have a relationship that withstood the test of time.

...Skrull replacements not withstanding.

Blackagar kissed her back, wrapping both arms around her waist to keep close. They could leave just as soon as he could let her go.
