Within the Labyrinth, Saturday Morning

After a few hours of sleep, it's time to get going again. Everyone needs to be rescued by this evening, or Jareth gets to keep them all forever! And since this is Team Distraction, it's time to get very loud and very obvious. If everyone in the Labyrinth is focused on what you're up to, the other team will have a much easier time slipping by the goblins and rescuing your friends. So, start smashing things! Sing at the top of your lungs! Be a general nuisance all around the Labyrinth!

Of course, being a distraction usually means being bait. And being bait almost always means being in danger.

But you can handle it! Right?

Kennedy'd gotten a decent amount of rest, although the cramp in her neck was killer this morning.

She stood and stretched, rotating her neck to work the stupid thing out and asking (through a yawn), "So, we ready to get our extra-obnoxious on?"

"Can I settle for just plain obnoxious?" Jaina asked, looking up from her gear check.

Well, leaving aside that plain obnoxious was Kennedy's default mode...

"Depends," Kennedy said, considering. "Is plain obnoxious gonna get enough attention from these guys to do the trick? 'cause if so, why not?"

"Plain obnoxious usually works for me," Jaina shrugged. "But then my sword glows, so that helps, too."

"...yeah, you win for that," Kennedy conceded, only a tiny bit grudging. Also envious. "Cool, I guess. Should we go make with the smashy?"

"I'm up for smashy. Also slicey and generally destructy," she agreed, strapping her bag to her back. Whatever got everyone out.

"All awesome options." Kennedy finished checking over her own (sadly far less glowy and high-tech, but that was Slayer-type training for you) gear and grinned tiredly. "Let's go do this thing."

"I'm always ready for that, goblins or not," Jason teased, looking Kennedy over ~~not dirty~~. "How are you feeling?"

"I'm not surprised you would be," Kennedy shot back with a smirk. "I miss my bed, but I think I'm good. You rested up okay?"

"Yeah, I've had longer nights. I'm definitely ready to get going," Jason said, trying not to be too antsy. "We're going to get everyone back, right?"

"Don't we always?" Part of that was Kennedy being cocky; part of it was her trying to keep everybody thinking positive. "It's gonna take a lot more than one glam-rock roleplaying geek-- which, whoa with the wardrobe TMI, by the way-- to screw with us."

Jason could use a little positive thinking right now, which was why he'd asked. "Yeah, that outfit was a little much, and I'm saying that coming from a place where every bad guy has a costume. Even the craziest of them wouldn't be caught showing off...you know."

Kennedy snickered. "Might as well paint a target on it, right? Hi, hit me here!"

"He's definitely asking for that to happen, taking our friends away. I think I might be disappointed if that doesn't happen now," Jason said.

"And here's where I start to get a little bummed about not being in the other group now," Kennedy admitted. "Let's just hope someone over there thinks about doing it."

"I may have to take a cue from a few others to ensure that I'm extra obnoxious," Katniss called, dryly. "But I'm pretty sure I know enough good examples of obnoxiousness that I can manage to model after them."

Never let it be said that Kennedy wasn't aware of her own attributes.

"Just follow my lead if you need a hint," she called back, smirk calculated to demonstrate her point.

"I'll need to work on smirking," Katniss decided, arching a brow. "But it's good I've got a role model on this."

"Here to help," Kennedy replied. "Also to hopefully kick some ass. You good for that too?"

"Now, that is no problem," Katniss said, already stringing an arrow. "The obnoxiousness can be worked on, though. I didn't think I'd come in here and have to learn new skills."

"I've pretty much decided everything is a learning experience around here," Kennedy replied, locking a bolt into her hand crossbow. "Saves me the trouble of always being surprised about it, 'cause god knows we get enough of those."
