The Oubliette and Surrounding Corridors, Saturday

There's no hope. No one's coming for you. No one wanted you, that's why you were taken. Except now, even Jareth doesn't want you. No one does. No one's coming. No hope. No hope. No hope no hope no hope nohopenohopenohopenohope...

The three captives had been in Jareth's oubliette for days now, with the mantra getting ever-louder in their ears and minds. Whether it was just a trick to get them to beg Jareth to take them back, or you're just setting an example for the others still left in the throne room remains to be seen. Whatever the case might be, things are looking pretty grim. The constant litany of 'no hope' and 'no one wants you' is getting awfully hard to ignore...

"Right. Everyone mobile?" Scully checked, swinging her flashlight again, and checking around. "Everyone conscious? No needed medical attention?" She waited for an answer, then said, "If the answer's no, this way to the damn egress."

And so saying, marched back into the corridor, lighting the way.... until she sighed. "Right. Now. Egress, exit, escape hatch.... where?"

Squall, back in control of himself, looked up and down the hallway. "Which way did you come in?"

Okay. They'd found Squall. Her composure was back, and Rinoa felt more confident than she had in a while.

"Over there," she said, pointing. "We went through a doorway and got dropped into an oubliette. Ours had a door. We used it to get out, and brought it over here."

This labyrinth's logic was a little sideways.

"That makes no sense at all," Karla protested. "How--why--never mind. Let's just go. I am very tired of Jareth's hospitality and this dog-whoring Labyrinth."
