Silent Hill: Day 3

The Grand Hotel by morning is only marginally less eerie than it is by night. Outside, though, under the falling ash, there's a piece of Fandom you're supposed to be looking for, right?

[OOC: OPEN, last Silent Hill post, and up early for great... me not having to wake up until noon. Warning, many icons, links, and...pretty much the entire adventure will be understandably squicky. Welcome to horrorland!]

It worked. The nurses turned their attention away from them to the blue fire at the other end that Azula still controlled. But almost immediately she felt Jono's weight on her, she held him up by the shoulder and hissed, "Don't you dare."

That had taken a toll on her and it manifested in the splitting headache that was threatening to break. Azula pulled Jono with her, "Come on."

He wasn't made for this. His power was what kept him alive, even while it steadily ate away at his body. It was entirely possible that he was his power, and so pushing it down so far, dimming it out as much as it was, it was a wonder that he was able to respond at all.

He nodded a little. Pushed it back. Kept his eyes open. Worked on staggering in the direction that Azula was urging him along in.

Just barely flames. He must have been one hellish sight, just then, with barely a hint of fire left to hide burned muscle and torn flesh, a hollowed out body that had been literally torn to shreds by that very same flame. Shattered ribs. He was a walking corpse.

He glanced blearily toward the few remaining nurses left after Jacob's onslaught, gathering around the blue flame, lighting themselves on fire, flailing their scalpels around and drawing one another's blood.

He was like them.

The moment they cleared the nurses, Azula let loose another flash of blue fire, this time on one of the nurses. That should catch their attention while it burned.

Azula gritted her teeth as she walked Jono a little farther away then as soon as she was certain. She released control from the fires in the hallway turning down the intensity from blue to the regular orange tinged flames and finally as her strength was threatening to give, she released Jono's as well.

And as she let go, so did he, and everything that made him what he was seemed to spark back into being all at once.

It was, for a lack of anything better to compare it to, like much-needed air after a dangerous amount of time spent holding his breath.

Still and all, he was going to need to take a moment to slump against the wall. Just a moment. Just until his head stopped reeling. And then he was pushing ahead again, perhaps more quickly than he ought to.

He'd promised Didi that he would catch up.

Azula also had to pause for breath. The splitting headache had faded into a dull throbbing pain but she was aware that they were far from safe in this place and so she drew herself up. "Let's go, flame face, no rest for the wicked."

//Jonothon.// He didn't even miss a beat, then. He had a place to be, after all, but he couldn't abide by being called... that. //My name. It's Jonothon.//

And then it was down the hall, moving as quickly as he could, to meet up with the others.

Heh. That got the rise Azula was looking for. She still had it. "Don't fall behind now."

And with that said, Azula sprinted away.
