FALLOUTVERSE - Capital Wasteland into Vault 106 - DAY THREE

For a moment, it seemed almost like a rustic scene: a herd of calm, two-headed cows ambled idly past Fandom's camping spot, and took up a position to graze off what little grass managed to wrestle itself loose from the ruined soil, just a few feet away.

But overnight, the cracks had increased in size, cutting through the sky. Looking upwards now, it was almost as if whatever location they were pulled towards had a halo, a small ring of friendly skies from which the blackness shot out in several directions.

Furthermore, though, this was Radscorpion country, and the people who travelled here now would do best to watch their steps...

And after that, it was on to a small hidden door in the middle of nowhere - behind which hid Vault 106.

[[ wait for the ocd up! ]]

Tim saw a psycho about to bring a lead pipe down on someone's head. He leapt over a fallen table and brought his broom handle up to block the pipe. It broke the stick of wood into two pieces. Tim spun one around and slammed the blunt end of the stick into the psycho's wrist, forcing him to drop the pipe.

[Despite icon, he's dressed normally.]

Price got a hold of his senses and went for his gun. "Thanks, squire," he said. Despite the pain in his head and the blood that was trickling down and blinding him in one eye, he started reaching for his gun.

"But I don't think he's done with us yet!"

"Don't shoot!" Tim yelled. Two sticks instead of one - just like Nightwing's escrima sticks. Easy. Ish. Tim did a leg sweep and knocked the guy flat on the floor, then followed it up with a nerve pinch just below the shoulder. The guy went limp long enough for Tim to pull a zip-strip from his backpack and fasten him to an exposed pipel.

Price got to his feet, wiped the blood from his eye, and then walked over and pointed the gun at the psycho's head.

"You might want to stand back," he said.

"I don't think so," Tim said, stepping in between Price's gun and the psycho.

"You'd rather leave him here to starve to death, or worse?" Price said, entirely serious. "It's mercy I'm offering, not vengeance I'm taking."

"If he's alive, he's got a chance," Tim said. "You're not shooting him."

"You're a cold man," Price said, lowering his gun. "But I suppose you've got to have standards."

"I do," Tim said. He stayed in front of the psycho, waiting for Price to walk away.

"Thanks for saving my life," Price said, giving Tim a little salute. "You're an interesting young man."

He'd definitely have to take a closer look at the boy later. But for now, he turned to move along.
